{"id":254,"date":"2009-07-05T18:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-07-05T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2015-01-13T22:38:17","modified_gmt":"2015-01-13T22:38:17","slug":"f100bodyframe-edge-repairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/project55.co.uk\/?p=254","title":{"rendered":"Frame Edge Repairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;d spent a fair bit of time stretching the door edges to fit the opening a lot better, but had noticed that the inner part of the frame was all over the place from where the roof had been chopped.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/Truck\/09\/07\/Old-Frame-Edge.jpg\" width=\"443\" height=\"334\" alt=\"Old-Frame-Edge.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I decided it was beyond hope, and just chopped it out. The replacement panel was easy enough, but welding it back in wasn&#8217;t so easy. I decided to hang the cab from the roof by one of the hinges with the other side on the floor.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/Truck\/09\/07\/TILT.jpg\" width=\"443\" height=\"372\" alt=\"TILT.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With it up like that I could stand in the hole where the transmission cover goes, and reach up to weld the frame. Welding was better but I burnt my head a lot with sparks!.
